Programme:
The arrangements of classical works for mallet intrumets with a big, orchestral accompaniment show Roland Härdtner's skills as an arranger as well as his musical talent as a solo artist. In the meantime he plays this programme together with various national and international orchestras with remarkable success (see also press reviews).

In addition to the repertoire of the same-titled cd he transcribed the violin concerto no.1 by Philipp Glass for his instruments. This can be heard together with two original concerts by Ney Rosauro and Darius Milhaud on the 2010 published cd „Virtuos Mallets“ accompanied by the „Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen“. This interpretation attracted great attention: Roland Härdtner's arrangements will be published at Dunvagen Music Publishers, New York.

Futhermore he arranged the following compostions for this instrumentalists: overture to „Orpheus in der Unterwelt (J. Offenbach)“, „Jazz-Suite Nr.2 (D. Schostakowitsch)“, „Carmen-Suite (G. Bizet / R. Shchedrin)“, „Teufelstanz (J. Hellmesberger)“ This and more works were recorded on the cd „Teufelstanz“ together with the „Baden-Badener Philharmonie“ under the direction of general music director Werner Stiefel.

The mallets-soloist is able to organise a full evening' s programme with „Virtuos Mallets“, „Classic Mallets“ and „Teufelstanz“. But he is also engaged for symphony-, gala-, youth-, and special-concerts with single pieces of music taken from this repertoire.
